02Purposes of processing
MASR will process users' personal data for the following purposes:

- Provision of professional services: where architecture, engineering, site management or certification services are engaged, the data will be used to properly manage the contractual relationship, provide the service and issue invoices.
- Sending communications (where consented to): subject to the user's explicit consent, we may send you communications by electronic means about our services, news from the practice or publications that may be of interest to you.
- Compliance with legal obligations: to comply with the legal obligations applicable to us (tax, accounting, anti-money-laundering, etc.).
03Legal basis for processing
The legal basis for processing your data is:
- Consent of the data subject: for handling enquiries and requests for information made through the Website, and for sending communications (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).

04Categories of data processed
Depending on the purpose for which the data is processed, we collect the following categories of personal data:

- Project or property data: location, cadastral reference, title deeds, existing drawings and any other technical documentation provided by the client for the purposes of the professional engagement.
- Transaction data: information relating to the payment of fees. Electronic payment details are processed through the secure gateways of external providers and MASR has no direct access to them.
05Data retention
The personal data provided will be retained for as long as the relationship with the user continues, unless the data subject requests its erasure, or for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and to determine any liabilities that may arise from them. Data processed for the purpose of sending communications will be retained for as long as the user does not withdraw consent.
Once the relationship or the purpose has ended, the data will be duly blocked for the limitation periods established by law in order to address any liability arising from the processing (in particular, the periods deriving from tax legislation and from the ten-year structural liability applicable to building works in Spain).
06Recipients of the data
As a general rule, MASR will not disclose your personal data to third parties, except where required by law (for example, to the competent public authorities, professional associations, courts and tribunals) or where strictly necessary in order to provide the service requested by the user (for example, to external collaborators such as consulting engineers, contractors or administrative agents, or to the authority with which the application is filed, always informing the user in advance).
No international transfers of data to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) are envisaged.
07Rights of data subjects
Users have the right to:
- Access their personal data.
- Request the rectification of inaccurate data.
- Request its erasure where, among other reasons, the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
- In certain circumstances, request that the processing of their data be restricted, in which case we will retain it solely for the exercise or defence of claims.
- In certain circumstances and on grounds relating to their particular situation, object to the processing of their data. MASR will stop processing the data, save on compelling legitimate grounds or for the exercise or defence of possible claims.
- Request the portability of their data.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without this affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before its withdrawal.

MASR has adopted the technical and organisational measures necessary to guarantee the security of personal data and to prevent its alteration, loss, unauthorised processing or access, having regard to the state of the art, the nature of the data stored and the risks to which it is exposed, whether from human action or from the physical or natural environment.
09Changes to this privacy policy
MASR reserves the right to amend this policy in order to bring it into line with legislative or case-law developments and with industry practice. In such cases, MASR will announce the changes made on this page reasonably in advance of their implementation.
