Can Riquet

A new-build home on a rustic agricultural estate in Altea, where the Ibizan language —whitewashed cubic volumes, flat roofs and restrained openings— adapts to the Mediterranean character of inland Altea. The house settles among terraces, olive and carob trees, without imposing itself on the existing topography.

A succession of white volumes is articulated around porches and terraces that filter the light and open each room onto the farming landscape. Sober materials —lime, pine timber and local stone— reinforce the idea of a serene, domestic house, deeply tied to its place.
